BADUNG - The Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) focuses on various efforts to prevent corruption that can occur in the scope of education.

"We do focus in particular on things that are preventive in nature where the benefits are far greater than us doing things that are only repressive, even though we still carry out repressive efforts," said Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Chatarina Muliana Girsang at the "Call Together Fun At Twilight" activity. " or Ngobrass in Badung Regency, Bali, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 16.

Chatarina explained that building an understanding that corruption is a common enemy and synergy in efforts to prevent corruption is carried out by all stakeholders who receive services in the tasks of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

"One of them involves students on this occasion because we know that higher education governance is also still a matter that is prone to corrupt behaviors," he said.

Chatarina Girsang said that one of the corruption prevention efforts carried out was by launching the Rumah Cegah program, which is an applied application based on information technology.

Rumah Cegah has an initial target of socializing 67 million individuals among students, students, teachers, lecturers, education staff, families, and stakeholders in the world of education spread throughout Indonesia.

Chatarina Muliana revealed that the Rumah Cegah program is actually not only related to one dimension, namely the issue of preventing corruption, but will work together with other crucial issues in the world of education such as preventing intolerance, radicalism, bullying, sexual violence.

Bribery, gratification, and fraud as well as other dimensions that are considered as the main nuisance to the world of quality education.

"It is impossible for Indonesia to be successful in improving the quality of education as long as we eliminate these parasites together," he said.

Through the monitoring of the RUMAH CEGAH team which is evaluated every day, it can be seen that there is courage among students, who speak out to uphold the truth in terms of teaching and learning activities that are considered to deviate from the values of true honesty.

"Students, teachers, and lecturers are equally critical in giving their views on corrupt behavior which is both seen as a despicable act and far from the value of honesty," he said.
