There Are 53 COVID-19 Patients Undergoing Isolation In Central Sulawesi

PALU - Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) COVID-19 Data and Information Center (Pusdatina) spokesman Adiman stated that there are currently 53 active COVID-19 patients in Central Sulawesi.

"Active cases of COVID-19 or residents exposed to COVID-19 who are still undergoing isolation in Central Sulawesi today, only 53 people or 0.11 percent of the total residents who have been exposed to COVID-19 as many as 47,095 people," Adiman said in Palu City, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 16th.

He explained that the 53 people who were exposed to COVID-19 were in a number of areas, including nine people in North Morowali and Tolitoli regencies, eight people in Sigi, seven people in Poso.

Then, five people in Parigi Moutong and Donggala, three people in Buol, two people in Banggai, Morowali and Palu City.

"Meanwhile, 45,443 COVID-19 patients were declared cured or increased to 96.49 percent of the total residents exposed to COVID-19 in Central Sulawesi. In addition, 1,599 people were declared dead or 3.40 percent," Adiman continued.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, November 16, Adiman said that two COVID-19 patients had recovered and two had been confirmed to have COVID-19.

He asked the public to support the supervisory team of the district and city health offices in Central Sulawesi who conducted searches on people who had been in contact with positive COVID-19 patients.

In addition, residents are advised to strictly implement health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

"The way to do this is by wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and reducing mobility outside the house. These steps are very important to do to break the chain of spread and transmission of COVID-19 in Central Sulawesi," he said.
