JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have completed an examination of a private party, Rizky Cinde Awaliyah.

He is a witness in the alleged bribery related to the handling of the case in Central Lampung that ensnared former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Azis Syamsuddin.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati said that during the examination, investigators explored a number of things. One of them is related to the alleged flow of money that Azis gave to a former KPK investigator, Stepanus Robin Pattuju.

"Rizky Cinde Awaliyah, who is a private party, was present and his knowledge was investigated, among others, related to the alleged flow of money given by suspect AZ to Stepanus Robin Pattuju," Ipi told reporters, Tuesday, November 16.

Apart from Rizky, the KPK also investigated the Deputy Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Semarang Polrestabes AKP Agus Supriyadi in this case. During the examination, investigators studied Azis Syamsuddin's request for Stepanus to assist in handling the case that was being investigated by the KPK, namely the alleged corruption in the budgeting of the Central Lampung Special Allocation Fund (DAK).

It was previously reported that former deputy chairman of the Golkar Party, Azis Syamsuddin, was named a suspect in connection with the alleged bribery in handling corruption cases being handled by the KPK in Central Lampung. This award was given to Stepanus Robin Pattuju who had been dismissed from his job as an investigator.

In this case, the KPK suspects that Azis and former General Chairperson of the PP Youth Forces of the Golkar Party (AMPG) Aliza Gunado gave bribes to KPK investigator Stepanus Robin Pattuju (SRP) worth Rp. 3.1 billion from an agreement of Rp. 4 billion.

The money was given to Stepanus so that the former investigators would secure their position in the alleged corruption of the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) in Central Lampung.
