The Head Of The SPI SMA Dormitory In Batu City Policed In Case Of Alleged Beating Of Students

BATU - The Head of the Good Morning Indonesia (SPI) High School Dormitory in Batu City, East Java, with the initials AA was reported to the police. He was reported by the Batu City Child Protection Agency (LPA) for alleged violence against students at SPI High School.

Allegations of violence were revealed from voice and video recordings recorded by other students. The violence was carried out in front of the victim's friends.

In the video, a man screams with a grumpy intonation. Then slapped and beat the victim. The video is used as evidence and submitted to the police for reporting.

Fuad said the victim admitted that the violence occurred on May 3, 2021. At that time a number of students were gathered in one place.

"For no apparent reason, these 2 victims were called to the front, then scolded while being slapped, beaten and kicked many times in front of all students," head of the Batu City Child Protection Institute (LPA) Fuad Dwiyono, Tuesday, November 16.

Fuad hopes that this case will be processed by the police immediately. Considering the victims are orphans.

"I hope that many other victims will dare to open their voices to break the chain of acts of persecution at the school," he said.

Previously, the manager of SMA Selamat Pagi Indonesia (SPI) Batu City, JEP, was reported again for alleged sexual harassment of his students. This time, there were 5 witnesses as well as victims who came to the Batu Police Headquarters, East Java.

Their arrival is to strengthen the evidence that already exists where the JEP case is currently in the process of being transferred to the East Java Prosecutor's Office. Previously, they along with 15 other victim witnesses had given their statements at the East Java Regional Police.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Batu Police, Iptu Yussy Purwanto, said that the report received by the Batu Police was said to have only collected data. Later, the results of the data collection will be sent to the East Java Regional Police.

"Regarding the reporting of victims of sexual violence, we only recorded everything, later the East Java Regional Police would handle it. It was all in accordance with the instructions from the Director of Criminal Justice," said Iptu Yussy.

Yussy emphasized that the same commitment as perpetrators of sexual violence against children cannot be tolerated. The Batu Police also has a commitment to child protection.

"If there are reports related to the same case, we will certainly follow up according to the applicable law. The police always accept complaints from the public and we follow up," he said.
