BULELENG - The water spout phenomenon has occurred again in the Buleleng area, Bali, which has gone viral on social media. This video of the waterspout phenomenon occurring in the waters of Buleleng Regency was recorded by a resident's video.
It can be seen clearly from the footage of residents performing a ceremony in the Pura Dalem Puri Kubuaddan area, Buleleng Regency, Bali.
Seen several residents perpetuate the phenomenon with cell phone cameras. The waterspout was seen circling with a very strong wind.
Meanwhile, in the video caption it was written, "Seeing more clearly the tornado phenomenon in the Pura Dalem Puri KubuAddan, Buleleng".
Coordinator for Data and Information at the Center for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BBMKG) Region III Denpasar, Bali, Dwi Hartanto, said the phenomenon was a waterspout that would often occur during the transition and rainy seasons.
"Yes, waterspouts often occur during the transitional and rainy seasons", said Dwi, when confirmed, Monday, November 11.
He explained that if it occurs on land, it is called a tornado and if it occurs in the sea or lake, it is called a waterspout. "If it happens on land, it's called a tornado, if it happens at sea, it's called a waterspout", he explained.

Dwi said the phenomenon did not only occur in the waters of Buleleng or the Bali Strait. When the phenomenon occurred, according to him, there were cumulonimbus clouds or types of cumulus clouds mixed with thunderstorms and heavy rain.
"Incidentally there are cumulonimbus clouds that cause waterspout", he said.
BMKG asked residents who saw this phenomenon to stay away and not approach it because it was very dangerous
"Residents please be careful not to approach the vortex", said Dwi.
