JAKARTA - Welcoming Eid al-Adha 1141 H, PT General Energy Bali (GEB) PLTU Celukan Bawang donated sacrificial animals to Muslims in Celukan Bawang Village and Sumber Kima Village, Gerokgak Buleleng. The sacrificial animals that were handed over were 7 cows and 15 goats.

The donation of sacrificial animals is an annual agenda from PT GEB PLTU Celukan Bawang from the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds.

The sacrificial committee from PT GEB PLTU Celukan Bawang, chaired by Bayu Zakaria Ramadona and Bendahara Dwi Purwantoro, handed over the sacrificial animals to the leaders of the mosques around the company.

Of the seven cows, 3 of them were donated to 3 mosques in Celukan Bawang Village, while 1 sacrificial cow was donated to Muslim employees at PLTU Celukan Bawang, and 3 other cows were donated to agencies that are often associated with the company.

Furthermore, 11 sacrificial goats were handed over to the musala in Celukan Bawang village, as many as 11, while the other 4 goats were handed over to the mosque in Sumber Kima Village, Gerokgak District.

The head of the PT GEB PLTU Celukan sacrificial committee, Bawang Bayu Zakaria, said that the sacrificial animals were handed over to the mosque leaders at several points on July 29 and 30.

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to comply with health protocols, the committee immediately handed over to each mosque that had been recorded so that people would not crowd," said Zakaria.

Meanwhile, the General Affair of PT GEB PLTU Celukan Bawang, Indriati Tanu Tanto, said that the handover of sacrificial animals was a form of company concern and love for the community members who celebrated the holiday.

"This is a form of CSR from the company which is given in the form of sacrificial animals to the community, and the company has a concern in maintaining togetherness with the community," said Indiriati.

Furthermore, Indriati said, the handover of sacrificial animals is an annual agenda of the company. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, handover, which is usually done at the company yard, cannot be done. Therefore, the committee submitted directly to the mosque which had been recorded so that there was no accumulation of people according to health protocols.

"Hopefully during this pandemic, Muslims who have received assistance can carry out the Hari Raya with happiness and blessings," he concluded.
