Aceh Governor Nova Iriansyah's Promise To Agam Inong Aceh Will Provide Scholarships

BANDA ACEH - The Governor of Aceh, Nova Iriansyah, gave his appreciation with scholarships to Agam Inong Aceh, Muhammad Akkral and Salwa Nisrina Authar Nyakcut, who won first place in the 2021 Indonesian Tourism Ambassador election.

"We will provide educational scholarships to both of them through the Aceh Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM)," Nova Iriansyah said in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Thursday, November 11.

He made the statement while receiving a visit from Muhammad Akkral and Salwa Nisrina Authar Nyakcut, at the Aceh Governor's Hall in Banda Aceh.

He explained that the appreciation was given for their efforts and hard work in achieving achievements and making Aceh proud.

The governor said that later Agam Akkral and Inong Salwa would only need to complete the administrative requirements to BPSDM so that the scholarships could be awarded.

Nova hopes that both of them can also be successful in the world of education and make the best contribution to Aceh. Agam Akkral is currently a student of the Faculty of Economics, Syiah Kuala University. Meanwhile, Inong Salwa is still active as a medical student at Malikussaleh University.

In addition to scholarships, he will also encourage Bank Aceh as a large BUMD to participate in giving awards to Acehnese sons and daughters who have achieved these national achievements.

The governor asked the Indonesian tourism ambassador to express his gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for holding the event.

He also advised the two of them not to forget to thank all the teams involved in preparing them for the national event.

"Thanks to the community and team that have been supporting all this time, the cost is only a small part, what is expensive is motivation and enthusiasm and prayers, especially the prayers of parents," said Nova.

Nova said tourism has become one of the most promising and reliable industries after the COVID-19 pandemic to revive the economy. This sector can also absorb a lot of labor.

"You have a strategic position and have a responsibility to promote tourism in this country, especially Aceh," he said.

Nova said, as ambassadors for Indonesian tourism, Akkral and Salwa need to continue to update their knowledge and improve their knowledge, especially in the field of tourism. Not only national tourism, but also able to understand tourism in global aspects.
