Buying And Selling Activities Start To Normal, Yogyakarta Trade Office Revokes Relaxation Of Market Merchant Retribution
YOGYAKARTA - The Yogyakarta City Trade Office has revoked the policy of providing relaxation of retribution payments for traditional market traders in the city considering that economic activity in traditional markets has returned to normal.
"Traditional market activities have returned to being busy and can be said to be recovering, so the policy for relaxing the payment of user fees has been lifted," said Head of the Yogyakarta City Trade Office Yunianto Dwi Sutono in Yogyakarta, Antara, Thursday, November 11.
According to him, the revocation of the retribution payment relaxation policy will be implemented starting this November and it is possible to continue to apply it in line with the PPKM policy at level two or lower.
With the revocation of the relaxation, all traders in traditional markets in the city of Yogyakarta must again fulfill their obligations to pay retribution in full according to the provisions.
Previously, the Yogyakarta City Trade Office provided relaxation of retribution payments in the form of reducing the value of levies between 25 to 75 percent of the stipulation.
"We will continue to evaluate the conditions in traditional markets. If a relaxation is needed again by traders, then it can be applied again," he said.
The relaxation of retribution payments for traditional market traders was originally intended to help ease the burden on traders in traditional markets, because market conditions were affected by the pandemic, so that trading activities were significantly reduced.
The policy began to be implemented at the beginning of the pandemic period in April 2020, with the relaxation value varying between 25.50 and 75 percent. Relaxation is provided for all traditional markets.
The relaxation value continues to be evaluated according to the development of COVID-19 transmission and handling status, so that not all traditional markets receive relaxation.
In 2021, the Yogyakarta City Trade Office will continue the policy starting in February with a relaxation value of 25-50 percent and the relaxation value will even be increased to 75 percent in July or when PPKM is implemented.
The target for regional revenue from market traders retribution this year is set at around Rp. 10 billion or not too much different from the previous year's realization.
