Update On COVID-19 As Of 4 August: Accumulated Cases Of Translucent 115,056

JAKARTA - Based on data from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) as of August 4 at 12.00 WIB, 22,902 specimens have been examined with positive confirmed cases reaching 1,922 people.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 115,056 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, August 4.

Meanwhile, there are 1,813 cases recovered today, bringing a total of 72,050 people to recovery. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 86 people and a total of 5,388 people.

The province with the most new cases was East Java with 430 new cases and a total of 23,412 cases. East Java is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Furthermore, DKI Jakarta has 410 new cases with a total of 23,026 cases. South Kalimantan with 119 new cases and a total of 6,357 cases. South Sulawesi with 117 new cases and a total of 9,861 cases. Then, West Java has 94 new cases and a total of 6,787 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to East Java with an increase of 343 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 216 cases recovered, North Maluku with an additional 213 cases recovered, and West Java with an additional 170 cases recovered.

Then, there are 6 provinces that reported no new cases today. The provinces are Bangka Belitung, West Kalimantan, Riau Islands, Central Sulawesi, Lampung, and East Nusa Tenggara.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 1,573,043. In detail, 1,541,021 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 34,022 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

"Today there are 25 laboratories that have not reported the PCR examination results, which are in the cities of Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Balikpapan, Cirebon, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Gresik, Jember, Batam, Samarinda, Medan, Tanjung Pinang," he wrote.

Finally, for the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 68,131 people. Meanwhile, the number of areas affected by the corona virus has reached 479 districts / cities out of 34 affected provinces in Indonesia.
