Toyota Indonesia Exports The Latest Avanza Veloz To 16 Countries
JAKARTA - Toyota Indonesia will export the Veloz small multipurpose vehicle (LMPV), which is the high-end variant of the Avanza, to 16 countries starting next year, along with the launch of the All-New Toyota Veloz.
"First, we will meet the needs of domestic consumers first and hopefully early next year we will be able to export to 16 countries", said Director of PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), Bob Azam, at an online press conference in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, November 11th.
He estimates that Veloz's export volume ranges from 4,000-4,500 units per month to several countries in South America, Central America, and Southeast Asia.
"We hope that Veloz can become a mainstay of exports and become the choice of consumers in developing countries, which are typically similar to Indonesia", said Bob.
According to him, in the early stages, TMMIN will export the LMPV All-New Toyota Veloz in a complete or completely built-up (CBU) state which is produced from Factory 2 in Karawang, West Java.
He hopes Veloz's first export to foreign countries next year will strengthen and complete the export range of Toyota cars, in addition to increasing foreign exchange earnings and state income from taxes.
It was also stated that the vehicle developed in Indonesia will become Toyota's global model and will also be produced in other countries.

"Toyota Veloz follows in the footsteps of his older brother (Toyota) Innova, who first became a global model", he said.
Bob said he was proud that Veloz became Toyota's global model, which is proof of the strength of the automotive industry in Indonesia, which is not only capable of producing cars but also developing models so that they are produced in other countries.
"This is actually the next level of the automotive industry in Indonesia", said Bob.
