Don't Carelessly Drink Bottled Mineral Water, Pay Attention To These Things

JAKARTA - Water is a basic human need that cannot be negotiable. Water is able to maintain a healthy body and accelerate metabolism.

It is important to maintain a consistent intake of water in the body. As recommended by experts, the average adult is advised to drink eight glasses of water or the equivalent of 3 liters per day.

However, choosing water for consumption should not be careless, especially regarding the cleanliness of the production process, its halalness, and the main content in the water you drink.

By choosing the right water for consumption, it will be easier to ensure the body is well maintained and healthy as the main key to a happy life. The Holy Quran even clearly states that water is the source of life.

In addition to the production process, the main factor that needs to be considered in choosing drinking water for daily needs is the degree of acidity or pH.

Based on the recommendations of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the United States, the pH level of drinking water that is safe for human consumption ranges from 6.5 to 8.5. Less or more than this number is believed to have an adverse impact on body health.

Then, also pay attention to whether the water you drink has an unusual odor or is completely odorless. Health experts recommend, good mineral water is odorless and tastes normal.

The part that is no less important and must be ensured is the matter of halal or not drinking water. Instead, consume water that has been confirmed to be halal.

In Indonesia, to ensure this, bottled drinking water usually has a halal logo from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).

However, not all drinking water products meet these requirements. In fact, it is not uncommon to find water with a pH that is too high, contains dangerous substances, has a pungent smell, and there is no certainty about halal.

Then, based on the comparison of physical and chemical tests with other products, the content of SHOFA is Iron (Fe) 0.01 mg per liter, Manganese (mn) 0.002 mg per liter, Nitrite (No2) 0.2 mg per liter, and Nitrate (No3 ) 0.002 mg per liter.

"Obviously this range of numbers is safe for consumption because SHOFA is processed with modern technology," said the man who had a career at the Directorate of Taxes.

There is no need to doubt about the halalness of SHOFA mineral water, because it already has a halal certificate from MUI which can be clearly seen on the packaging.
