Carrying Out The Fit And Proper Test, Andika Perkasa: There Is A Lot That Needs To Be Improved In The TNI Organization

JAKARTA - Candidate for the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General TNI Andika Perkasa, said that there is still a lot to improve in structuring the TNI's organization. He said this would be his mission in defense institutions going forward.

As is known, Andika Perkasa underwent a fit and proper test (FPT) as a candidate for TNI commander, which was held today, Saturday, November 6, at the House of Representatives Building.

"Then strengthening integration, organization, there is also still a lot of room for improvement. I see there are deficiencies that we can still fix to make this teamwork or cooperation good", he said, at the House of Representatives Building, Senayan, Saturday, November 6.

Andika also considers that interoperability between the three dimensions of land, sea, and air is very important so that the TNI is increasingly aware of existing weaknesses and shortcomings.

Furthermore, Andika said that the joint operation of the three military forces is an unavoidable necessity at this time.

"Interoperability must be continuous and the more often we put it together or we do it so that we know more about our weaknesses and shortcomings", he explained.

Not only that, but Andika also has another mission, namely strengthening the duties of the TNI based on legislation. In addition, also strengthens border defense.

"Then the increase in TNI's preparedness is not focused, because there are many things we can do to make us much more prepared, both to face military operations for war", he said.

Then, said Andika, the other missions that he focuses on are cyber security and intelligence strengthening, especially in areas where there are security disturbances, horizontally and vertically. He considered this to be a priority in the future era.

"And lastly, foreign military diplomacy is increasingly important, one thing that really needs to be paid more attention to, I am entrusted with being the commander of the TNI", said Andika Perkasa.
