Undergoing Fit And Proper Test Today, General TNI Andika Perkasa Apologizes To Commission I DPR
JAKARTA - Candidate for TNI Commander General TNI Andika underwent a fit and proper test (FPT) as a candidate for TNI commander, which was held today. He started his presentation in the test by apologizing to Commission I of the DPR.
Andika apologized because the members of Commission I had to work on weekends to conduct a fit and proper test for the candidate for TNI commander in chief.
"First of all, I apologize because Saturday is supposed to be a day off, ladies and gentlemen, I have to work, my deepest apologies," he said at the Parliament Complex, Saturday, November 6.
Furthermore, Andika also conveyed the vision that he carried as a candidate for TNI commander, namely 'TNI is us'. He admitted that his vision was very short, but instead he wanted the Indonesian and international community to see the TNI as part of them.
"This actually shows that I don't want to see us have too high hopes. We are with all our limitations, with advantages, diversity, this is what we are. We may want professionals to want more but that is a process that we continue to build," he said.
Andika said that according to the public polici and administration, the community saw the TNI as an organization as it was, with all the shortcomings and improvements that it underwent.
"But it also doesn't mean we can't do anything, there's still a lot we can do, limitations also have different ways, pursuing what we've accomplished, that's my vision statement," he said.
