Constrained By CCTV Footage, The Police Are Looking For Other Evidence To Reveal The Steam Car Robbery In TB Simatupang
JAKARTA - The Pasar Minggu Police, South Jakarta is still investigating the robbery incident that occurred at the car and motorcycle wash center on Jalan TB Simatupang on Monday, November 1, early in the morning.
The difficulty of officers in identifying the perpetrators was hampered by the search for CCTV which recorded the actions of the armed robbers.
"We are trying, members of the report have CCTV (other) but it is not clearly visible. There has been no progress (investigation)," explained Pasar Minggu Police Chief Kompol Bambang Handoko when confirmed, Saturday, October 6.
Bambang also explained that his members were still trying to find CCTV footage that was installed before and after the steam washing location. The aim is to see the seconds before or after the perpetrators act in steam washing by stealing a thermos, rice cooker, and charity box money.
"Yes, so we traced the check (CCTV). There have been efforts to get it but it is not clear to record the perpetrators as well," said Bambang.
Previously reported, the actions of the perpetrators were caught on CCTV cameras. The footage eventually went viral on social media.
In the video, you can see a number of men coming on motorbikes. At the scene of the incident, the perpetrators brandished sharp weapons aimed at steam washing workers. As a result of the incident, two workers suffered injuries from being hit by sharp weapons.
