Be Alert, Lur, Active Cases Of COVID-19 In Bantul DIY Have Increased To 131 People

BANTUL - Active cases of COVID-19 or patients who are still infected in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, increased to 131 people following new cases that dominated compared to patients who recovered in the last day.

Based on data from the Bantul COVID-19 Task Force, there were 19 confirmed cases of COVID-19, nine confirmed cases recovered, while there were zero confirmed deaths or no additional cases.

With the daily development of cases, the cumulative total of positive COVID-19 cases in Bantul has become 57,075 people, with a recovery rate of 55,377 people, and 1,567 deaths.

Thus, the number of active COVID-19 cases or patients who are still infected and undergoing isolation or quarantine in shelters and hospitals in the Bantul region as of Friday is only 131 people.

The isolation cases based on domicile were spread across 13 of the 17 sub-districts in Bantul, with the most from Sedayu 51 people, followed by Kasihan 21 people, while the lowest was from Jetis and Kretek, each with one person.

Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih said as part of accelerating the realization of communal immunity, the local district government in synergy with the TNI/Polri intensified vaccinations with the hope that they would be 100 percent complete by the end of 2021.

The community is asked to jointly break the chain of spread of COVID-19 by always implementing clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in daily life.

"And discipline in carrying out the 5M health protocol, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility," he said.
