Together With Loka Manya Prawiro, Vina Panduwinata Says Farewell

JAKARTA - Loka Manya Prawiro and Vina Panduwinata collaborated together on a song called Perisahan. This song is an opening for Loka to return to channeling her hobby in music, as the title suggests, the background of this song is a true story about her sadness at the loss of her beloved mother.

Loka Manya Prawiro and Vina Panduwinata do have close family relations as cousins. Their closeness has started since childhood by starting their first band at the age of 9 years.

According to Loka, Vina is the most worthy musician to sing this Farewell song because the legendary singer is indeed very close to her mother.

"I composed this Farewell song to remember my beloved mother who was called by God on November 18 2018. A very heavy farewell because she is my soul mate. Vina's whole life was also spent with my mother, for a farewell song that has such deep meaning for her. our mother, only Vina deserves to bring it because Vina feels the same sadness," said Loka Prawiro in a release received by VOI, Friday, November 5.

"At that time Loka asked me to come to his house and he listened to the song he wrote for his mother and he asked me to sing the song. When I heard the song, wow, the meaning of this song is really deep and I saw with my own eyes Loka was there. very deep sadness over the loss of her mother. I feel that sadness is really contained in this song. And I also feel because Loka's mother is my aunt," added Vina.

Apart from Vina Panduwinata, the song Perisahan was also assisted by Aminoto Kosin who acted as producer and music arranger, Rayendra Sunito as drummer, Jamie Wilson as guitarist, and the Budapest Scoring Orchestra.

Vina Panduwinata said that during the recording of this song, there was a problem because her voice was hoarse. Vina had asked to repeat the vocal recording but Loka and Aminoto Kosin refused.

"Yes, at that time I asked for a re-recording of the vocals because my voice was hoarse. It turned out that they refused at that time, according to them my hoarse voice didn't bother me at all. In fact, it gave expression and built the right atmosphere for this song," said Vina Panduwinata about the recording process.
