Lukman Sardi Becomes A Rude Father In Paranoia

JAKARTA - Actor Lukman Sardi is back with his newest film produced by Miles Films entitled Paranoia. Through this film he is side by side with Nirina Zubir, Nicholas Saputra, and Caitlin North-Lewis.

Lukman plays Gion, a father who is looking for a wife, Dina (Nirina Zubir) and his son, Laura (Caitlin North-Lewis). Gion loses track of his family and continues to search for them.

Gion's character in Paranoia can be called a villain. Judging from the Paranoia trailer, Gion does a lot of violent scenes and often threatens Dina.

"Gion is a tough character, not only speaking but physically he also seems to have done a lot of violence," said Lukman Sardi during the Press Screening at Epicentrum XXI on Thursday, November 4.

Lukman is required to be tougher but as an actor with a lot of experience, it turns out that he found difficulties while filming Paranoia.

“The characters that are formed in the script huh… as an actor, we have to bring that to life. The biggest challenge is reading with Zoom," said Lukman.

Gion is also told as a criminal who always faces anything with violence. “Gion is one of the criminals. Not the top person, not the boss either, so there's a shadow like this."

When asked what the difference between Gion and Lukman Sardi was, he firmly replied, “It's different (the resemblance). I have a way of getting into a character from imagination, observation, seeing." He had asked if the media had ever seen him commit domestic violence to his wife.

Lukman Sardi's acting as Gion can be seen through Paranoia, which will premiere in theaters starting November 11.
