Bad News! COVID-19 Cases In Garut Have Started To Stretch Since The Beginning Of November

JAKARTA - New confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Garut Regency, West Java, have increased again since early November 2021, bringing the total to 24,738 people with 16 active cases.

"The development of COVID-19 cases in Garut in the last few days has added 1 to 4 cases per day", said Public Relations of the Garut COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Yeni Yunita in Garut, Thursday, November 4.

She said the COVID-19 outbreak in Garut Regency was still occurring with the findings of new cases based on the results of a swab test examination by health workers in the field.

Since the beginning of November 2021, she said, there have been reports of additional new cases, and the last report on Wednesday, November 3 found four positive confirmed cases of COVID-19.

"The RT PCR results obtained were confirmed positive for COVID-19 as many as four cases", she said.

She mentioned that overall active cases of COVID-19 patients are currently 16 people, consisting of 3 people undergoing treatment at the hospital, and 13 people undergoing self-isolation.

The COVID-19 outbreak in Garut, she said, still had to be monitored by all elements of society while still adhering to health protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, and being vaccinated to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

"COVID-19 cases are still happening, we urge you to continue to comply with health protocols so that we avoid the spread of COVID-19", Yeni said.

Overall positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Garut were 24,738 cases, consisting of 13 cases of self-isolation and 3 cases undergoing treatment at the hospital, then 23,551 cases were declared cured, and 1,171 cases died.
