Manoj Punjabi Matches Syifa Hadju With Devano Danendra, Really Matches

JAKARTA - Syifa Hadju and Devano Danendra are a couple in the Gulf of Alaska series produced by MD Pictures and WeTV Original. They return to the role of high school students. Producer Manoj Punjabi who matched them said he was very satisfied to see the chemistry of the two.

"I've heard Syifa protest why her role is a high school student again. I think it's still appropriate, it's very fitting. Seeing them become baper, like remembering their first love in high school again," said Manoj in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 3.

Manoj admitted that he did not carelessly find a mate for Syifa. Iis Dahlia's son, according to him, is the most suitable for Syifa in the Gulf of Alaska series.

"Earlier, we saw that when they were together, the room felt happy. So we were not in a hurry to choose the cast of this series. We were really looking for the right character. Because this production is different from soap operas. We have reading, acting coaches, shooting takes a long time, and editing doesn't take a day. If a soap opera can finish one episode in a day, "he explained.

Even though she graduated from high school 5 years ago, Syifa admitted that she had no trouble playing the character of a teenager. "Yes, I'm here as a high school student again, even though I graduated 4-5 years ago, fortunately yesterday I also played at KUG (Stories for Gery) so it wasn't difficult," said Syifa Hadju.

Syifa Hadju plays Anastasya, a high school girl who always faces all problems positively. So positive, he is not angry when bullied.

"Ana is a teenage girl and is very positive about her life, the twists and turns, even the bullying she gets," said Syifa Hadju.

Syifa also admitted that she did not approach Devano much to get chemistry. "We have actually known and been friends for a long time. But we have never worked together. When we were paired up in this series, it just flowed," said Syifa when met in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 3.

Devano said he was enthusiastic about being Syifa's partner. Even though there was no special preparation, the supportive shooting atmosphere made it easy to make chemistry with Syifa.

"Chemistry in this series is not just a click with Syifa Hadju. All of our cast and crew are very connected. The shooting atmosphere was very fun," recalled Devano Danendra.
