DENPASAR - Heather Mack (25), a female citizen (WN) of the United States who was convicted of the murder of her biological mother in a suitcase, was finally deported by the Bali Immigration Officer.

Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk, said that the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) deported Heater Lois Mack along with her daughter Stella.

"Heater Lois Mack has been proven to have violated Article 75 of Indonesian Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration Junto Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning murder", said Jamaruli in a written statement, Wednesday, November 3 in the morning.

Jamaruli explained that after serving his sentence and being declared free from the Class IIA Kerobokan Women's Prison, Heater and her child were placed at the Denpasar Immigration Rudenim to await the deportation process under strict security.

"Heater and his son were deported on Tuesday, November 2 night under tight guard from the Denpasar Rudenim, the police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) through Ngurai Rai International Airport, Bali", he added.

Heater Mack, who was widely reported by foreign media as her suitcase killer, departed from the Denpasar Immigration Rudenim at 16.30 WITA with an escort from officers. The immigration officer had previously coordinated with the Aviation Security (Avsec) of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport regarding the deportation.

Meanwhile, Stella was stationed outside the Denpasar Immigration Rudenim with Oshar Putu Melodi Suartama together with two officers from the Bali Police to meet at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

"Furthermore, the two Americans who have been deported are proposed to be put on the detention list to the Directorate General of Immigration. Heater Lois Mock is proposed to be put on the detention list for life. Meanwhile, her child is proposed to be put on a six-month detention list", said Jamaruli.

Heather Mack was released from Bali's Kerobokan Prison on Friday, October 29. US citizen Heather Mack was previously found guilty of the murder of her biological mother, Sheila von Wiese-Mack, on August 12, 2014. The murder was committed with her lover, Tommy Schaefer.

The murders occurred while they were on vacation in Bali. The murder was carried out in room number 317 of the St Regis Hotel, Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali.

The dark incident occurred because of the disappointment with the victim who did not approve of the romantic relationship between the two. Heather Mack, who was only 18 at the time, was found to be pregnant.

Sadistically, Sheila's body was put in a large suitcase and put in the trunk of a taxi that had been ordered in advance. Fearing that the murder would be exposed, the two perpetrators fled through the back door of the hotel towards the beach.

The driver and hotel staff found the suitcase covered in blood and took it to the police station.

Schaefer was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the murder. Heather Mack was sentenced to 10 years for helping plan the murder of her mother.
