Packages Of Vitamins And Medicines For COVID-19 Patients From Jokowi To Be Distributed Immediately, Here's The Procedure

JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto explained that the distribution of free medicine and vitamin packages for self-isolated (isoman) patients will be based on data according to triage or identification by village officials, puskesmas or village midwives.

"According to the procedure because we are implementing village-based self-isolation. The Puskesmas, or village midwives will perform triage (risk-based patient identification) whether they are OTG (asymptomatic), ODG (with symptoms) mild, moderate or severe so that the data is already owned by the village midwife or puskesmas," said Hadi at the Merdeka Palace Courtyard as quoted by Antara. the Presidential Secretariat Youtube, Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, 1

That way, said Hadi, isoman patients who receive the drug and vitamin packages are those who have been registered at the puskesmas or village midwife.

"To get the drug or package it has been properly recorded by the puskesmas or village midwives so they are entitled to get the drug package," said Hadi.

Officers at the puskesmas or village and accompanied by Babinsa officials, who will distribute the drugs or vitamins to isoman patients. Referrals for patients who received the drug and vitamin packages were sourced from data from the puskesmas.

The distribution of drug and vitamin packages for isoman patients, said Hadi, will be supervised by the health officials of the Kodam, Kodim, Koramil, and Babinsa.

Previously, President Jokowi explained that there were three types of drug and vitamin packages that were distributed to be used within a period of seven days.

The first package contains vitamins for residents with positive PCR swab test results, but without symptoms or called People Without Symptoms (OTG).

The second package contains vitamins and medicine for residents with positive PCR swab test results accompanied by complaints of fever and loss of smell. Consumption of this package requires consultation and a doctor's prescription.

Meanwhile, the third package contains vitamins and medicine for residents who received a positive PCR swab test accompanied by complaints of fever and dry cough. Consumption of this package also requires consultation and a prescription from a doctor.

“The three packages of isoman drugs are not for sale. The supply is prepared by the Minister of SOEs, produced by Pharmaceutical SOEs, and then the distribution will be coordinated by the TNI Commander and later will of course coordinate with local governments to village governments, as well as involve Community Health Centers, and RT/RW administrators," said President Jokowi.
