JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu Dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) has begun to mature the process of regenerating the company's leadership, which is expected to be completed by 2027. The transition to the next generation is prepared gradually and structured.

Director of PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk, Irwan Hidayat, said he was re-elected as interim President Director (Dirut) because of his experience and age are the most senior among his brothers.

"Why I was chosen, because I'm the oldest. But my job is just to pass it on to the next generation," he said some time ago.

Irwan explained that the regeneration process was more complex because it involved 13 family members from the next generation. Unlike the previous generation, which only had five brothers, clearer and more transparent rules were needed.

"If we used to know each other, just call. Now there are 13 people from five families, so there must be transparent rules," he said.

He emphasized that in the next year, management will focus on perfecting all aspects of the company before being handed over. Starting from internal regulations, production, finance to the environment will be arranged to meet maximum standards.

"We want to hand over the company in perfect condition, 100 percent compliant with the rules. Don't let there be any gaps when handed over to the next generation," he explained.

In addition, the company will also strengthen business performance through increased sales and market expansion. One of the steps prepared is to expand the marketing of supplement products and open representative offices abroad.

"We encourage sales, especially supplements and exports. This year we are focusing on building marketing offices abroad," he said.

Irwan also emphasized the importance of transparency in corporate management. Currently, Sido Muncul is developing a digital system to monitor business activities in real time.

"We make a real-time monitoring system, so all processes can be directly controlled, not waiting for reports after the incident," he said.

He added, after the transition process was carried out, he and the founding team would not immediately leave the company.

Assistance to the next generation will continue for the next two to three years.

"We will not leave it alone. We will continue to accompany it so that the transition goes well," he said.
