Jeje 'SCBD' Asks For Scholarships, DKI Provincial Government Is Ready To Fulfill It

JAKARTA - Jasmine Laticia alias Jeje "Slebew", a TikTok celebrity who often hangs out in the Sudirman area is said to have asked the government for educational scholarships to continue her studies.

This 16-year-old teenager dropped out of school when he was in the third grade of junior high school. Now, a girl who is famous as a "SCBD" teenager (Sudirman, Citayam, Bogor, Bojonggede), Jeje wants to go back to school.

This was stated by the Sub-coordinator of Extension Affairs and Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service (DLH), Yogi Ikhwan. This recognition was expressed when DLH DKI cooperated with him to campaign for cleanliness in the Sudirman area.

"Jeje asked for a scholarship. This is a good idea because he wants to continue his education," said Yogi in a short message to VOI, Saturday, July 16.

Therefore, DLH DKI plans to submit a request for a scholarship for Jeje to a collaborating institution in the field of waste, namely Tunasmuda Care Foundation (T.CARE).

Separately, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria appreciated Jeje's intention to get a scholarship to continue his education. Riza said that the DKI Provincial Government would manage the process.

"God willing, we will pay attention to the scholarships later, they will be arranged. We can collaborate with the private sector. From us, we can all complement and help each other," said Riza.

Previously, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) admitted that he was happy to see the trend of "SCBD" teenagers in the Dukuh Atas area with a distinctive dress style.

"In my opinion, if they are talented as promotional agents from tourist destinations, we can embrace them and provide training and maybe later we will give scholarships to the Tourism Polytechnic," said Sandiaga some time ago.

Sandiaga even offered tourism school scholarships for middle-lower teenagers who were actually considered to have the potential to support Indonesian tourism.

"Incidentally, we have an NHI Tourism Polytechnic in Bandung, not far from Citayam to develop their talents, because the content is cool, interesting and they exist for children who package content in a contemporary way," he concluded.
