One Way Point Moved From KM 47 To GT Cikatama, Replaced With Contra Flow Scheme

JAKARTA - The National Police has moved the one-way point of the toll road from KM 47 to the Cikampek Utama (Cikatama) Toll Gate (GT) KM 70. The goal is for vehicles from Bandung to Jakarta to pass through the toll road.

"Currently, we are in the process of withdrawing the one-way entrance from KM 47 to the Cikatama Toll Gate," said the Director of Law Enforcement (Dirgakkum) of the National Police Korlantas Brigadier General Aan Suhanan to VOI, Friday, April 29.

The postponement of this one way point is to normalize traffic flow from Bandung, West Java. Because, previously when this scheme was implemented vehicles going to Jakarta could only go through arterial roads.

Based on monitoring, as of 09.05 WIB, vehicles from Bandung to Jakarta can already pass on the toll road.

"Giving an opportunity from the direction of Bandung and Cikopo (crossing the toll road, ed) because the current from Jakarta is rather gentle," said Aan.

Although the one way point has been postponed, said Aan, his party has implemented a contra flow traffic flow scheme at KM 47 to KM 70. The goal is to anticipate a surge in vehicles.

"From KM 47 to Cikatama, we will replace it with a contra flow scheme," said Aan.

Meanwhile, from GT Cikatama to GT Kalikangkung KM 414 the one way scheme is still in effect.

For information, the even-odd scheme on toll roads has been implemented. This scheme has been implemented since Thursday, April 28, from 17.00 to 24.00 WIB. One way starting point is at KM 47 Cikampek Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate.
