JAKARTA – Robinhood Markets Inc. said Monday, November 8, that a third party had gained access to the email addresses of about five million of its subscribers.

“Unauthorized parties socially engineered customer support employees over the phone and gained access to certain customer support systems,” the company said in a blog post, adding that third parties had demanded extortion payments.
