Successfully Pocketing FAA And FWS Permits, SpaceX Will Launch Soon

JAKARTA The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that a launch license for Starship vehicles had been made. This news was announced on Wednesday, November 15.

The FAA stated thatSpaceX has met the requirements to launch Starship, both in terms of safety, environment, policy, and financial responsibility. This means that SpaceX has also obtained permission from the US Fisheries and Wildlife Service (FWS).

Previously the FAA had completed a review of Starship launches since a few weeks ago. However, they have not been able to issue an FWS launch permit that has not finished reviewing the environmental issues of Starship.

FWS must review Starship's launch pad, including a water flood system to reduce the potential for seat damage. This test is urgently needed so that Starship does not repeat its failure in their launch.

In April, Starship failed to launch due to an error in the second phase of separation. This failure forced Starship to be destroyed above the Gulf of Mexico. Not only that, Starship's failure has brought some damage.

Starbase, the crater below the launch site, was destroyed by damaged takeoff. This explosion made the area around the launch site bombarded with debris from the explosion. In order for this incident not to happen again, FWS deepened its review.

After waiting 135 days, FWS finally finished reviewing and consulting formally with the FAA. After FWS consulted on Tuesday, November 14, Starship's launch permit was finally issued.

With a pocketed SpaceX license, Starship will launch on November 17, according to their time set from the start. The launch of the Orbital Flight Test 2 will take place at 8 am local time.
