Alan Hartman Officially Becomes The New Head Of Xbox Game Studios

JAKARTA - After the acquisition is completed, Microsoft and Blizzard begin to form their new leadership, where Alan Hartman, former developer boss of Forza Motorsport Turn 10 will be the new head of Xbox Game Studios.

"It's great to be able to represent a group of elite game makers in my new role in leading Xbox Game Studios!" Hartman wrote in his LinkedIn post, quoted Sunday, November 12.

Previously, Hartman had led Turn 10 since 2005, with his final assignment as VP of Forza and Fable companies. He oversees the release of Forza series games and ForzaTech machines, which are used on Forza Horizon and its upcoming Fable reboot.

This statement was delivered directly by Hartman through his post on LinkedIn. With this new position, Hartman officially replaces Matt Booty, who was promoted to president of content and game studios.

In addition, other executives who recently changed positions include Sarah Bond, who became Xbox's first black president in 22 years of the company's history.

Until now, Bobby Kotick will still serve as CEO of Activision Blizzard, but he has revealed plans for his resignation by the end of 2023.

Nearly two years since the deal was announced, on Friday, October 13, Microsoft finally completed its acquisition of Activision Blizzard worth 69 billion US dollars (Rp967 trillion).
