Totoki will work closely with Sony Group Corporation Chairman and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida and SIE's management team to help determine the future of PlayStation, including the role of CEO of SIE.

"Jim Ryan has been an inspiring leader during his tenure with us, especially in overseeing the launch of the PlayStation 5 amid the global COVID pandemic. I am very grateful to Jim for all his achievements," Yoshida commented.

Yoshida admitted that he had discussed intensively and had determined the new management structure, to achieve Sony Group's further evolution and growth by bringing even greater success to the Game & Network Service Business.

'PlayStation will always be a part of my life, and I feel more optimistic about SIE's future. I want to thank Yoshida-san for trusting me and being a very sensitive and supportive leader," Ryan concluded.
