Microbt Bitcoin Mining Company Ready To Launch BTC Mining Machine

JAKARTA - On September 19, 2023, Microbt, the maker of the ASIC mining rig for Bitcoin (BTC) mining, expressed its intention to introduce innovative mining machines with an efficiency rating of 1X joule per terahash (J/T).

This announcement came shortly after the Bitcoin mining giant, Canaan, released the A1466I mining machine which also has a similar efficiency rating of around 19.5 J/T. Bitmain mining companies are also preparing to launch a new series with the same efficiency benchmark.

Although Microbt already has a mining rig (M53S++) that can generate 320 terahash per second (TH/s), the company remains focused on increasing efficiency. In the announcement, Microbt mentioned that the new M60 series will launch on October 24, 2023, during the 2023 Blockchain Life event in Dubai.

Although specific details regarding the hashrate output from the M60 series have not been disclosed, the statement confirms Microbt's commitment to efficiency by rank 1X J/T. In addition, on September 5, Microbt announced plans to sell its older mining machine in the fall.

Bitmain will also contribute to this efficiency competition by launching the Antminer S21 line from September 22 to 23 at the World Digital Mining Summit (WDMS) 2023. The S21 series from Bitmain will also have miners with an efficiency rating of 1X J/T.

Competition in the Bitcoin mining industry continues to spur manufacturers to create more efficient devices, which can benefit miners at lower electricity costs. With the upcoming M60 and S21 series launches, competition is getting fiercer in the crypto mining market.
