Indodax Sees NFT-Based GameFi Potential Now More And More Interested

JAKARTA - Currently, the application of other blockchain technology is increasingly prevalent. Not only NFT is rife in Indonesia because of the case of Ghozali Everyday, Play to Earn GameFi is now increasingly in demand, especially for game activists.

Indodax CEO, Oscar Darmawan said that the concept of GameFi is different from usual games. Apart from the fact that this GameFi is running above blockchain technology, GameFi also has advantages, especially for game activists.

"Unlike games, usually those who adopt the concept of Pay to Play, where gamers who want to get weapons, items, features, skins, etc. have to spend quite a bit and pay them using credit cards or other payment methods," said Oscar in a written statement received on Friday, May 5.

He added, if these gamers play GameFis that adopt the concept of Play to Earn, game activists will actually benefit from getting a number of rewards or bonuses.

That way, gamers will get a nominal crypto bonus in the form of crypto which can also be traded through crypto exchanges.

Oscar also predicts that GameFi has great potential in my future. Maybe even well-known game companies such as Sony, Activision, Electronic Arts, and others could plunge into the world of GameFi.

"This is what makes this GameFi ecosystem more crowded and indirectly awareness of GameFi will also be wider," explained Oscar.

Although the future of the GameFi Play to Earn concept is quite bright, in fact, this industry is experiencing several challenges, one of which is related to the purpose of playing this game.

"Sometimes gamers only focus on getting the crypto rewards generated from this game. So the goal is already different from playing conventional games in general," explained Oscar.

"So it is quite continuous between the price of crypto and GameFi. Plus because gamers who only focus on crypto rewards, sometimes games like this are less sustainable," he added.

Oscar remains optimistic that the game-to-earn concept GameFi will still be in demand by gamers. Even Oscar believes that with the increasingly mature blockchain ecosystem, metaverse, NFT and so on in the future, it can help the development of this Fi Play to earn Game to take off even more.
