JAKARTA - Australian business software company Atlassian Corp PLC (TEAM.O) announced on Wednesday that it would introduce new artificial intelligence features such as meeting summarys and chatbots trained in deepening the company's knowledge base.
AI's genrative, which has been adopted by the tech industry, has the ability to synthesize large amounts of data and answer complex questions.
Atlassian founder Scott Farquhar said as the company used its software to track and document projects, Atlassian is in a unique position to use AI to help knowledge workers increase their productivity dramatically.
"Because we know the teams throughout their life cycles, we can be very good at displaying information and tasks that need to be completed," Farquhar told Reuters in an interview.
"Their lives have become much more productive than spending their days chasing what has to be done and what they should read," he added.
Atlassian is working with OpenAI, an AI startup backed by Microsoft Corp. behind the ChatGPT chatbot sensation, to build product improvements, including ensuring that its subscriber data remains isolated, Farquhar said.
