JAKARTA - AS Roma legend Francesco Totti has apparently warned coach Daniele De Rossi. Totti stated that De Rossi would become a scapegoat. After De Rossi's dismissal, the ultras supporters also held a demonstration against the players.

Totti has made predictions about his colleague's future. He even warned De Rossi just days before being fired.

Totti estimates De Rossi will become a 'black goat' if Roma reaps failure. It is not without reason that Totti warned of the figure who replaced him as captain in Rome when he was about to retire.

According to him De Rossi is under pressure because he must be able to bring the Giallorossi to compete in the 2025/2026 Champions League. At least, Roma had to penetrate the top four after making massive purchases of players.

"If you don't hunt the Champions League, De Rossi will step down early. He won't last until the end of the season," said Totti, quoted by Football Italia.

Totti confirmed De Rossi would have the same fate as Jose Mourinho because he 'had to pay' or be the target of shooting if Roma picked up negative results.

"Daniele is like a lightning flash. But he has to pay the price. However, it must be admitted that at this time he is indeed one of the most worthy to be Roma coach," said Totti again.

De Rossi's sudden sacking finally caused turmoil among supporters. Roma players were sad. The Roma ultras supporters held a demonstration at the Trigoria team's training headquarters over the dismissal of De Rossi. Supporters openly blamed the player as the cause of the coach's dismissal.

Although Roma's failure to win in the first four matches in the Italian Serie A competition was the reason for sacking De Rossi, the decision was still unacceptable to fans.
