Indian Golfer Gagan Economy Bhullar Secures 2023 Indonesian Masters Title, Including Asian Tour Record

JAKARTA - Indian golfer Gagan Economy Bhullar came out as the champion of the 2023 Indonesian Masters competition. This success also made him set a new record at the Asian Tour level.

Bhullar locked the victory while appearing at the Royale Jakarta Club on Sunday, November 19. In this event Gagan Economy Bhullar recorded -24 parties and a score of 260.

Before completing today's match, Bhullar had completed 18 holes with 63 punches on the first day, 67 second day of beatings, 63 third day of beatings and 67 fourth day of beatings.

Successfully completing the match and leaving as champions, Bhullar said he was happy with his performance. Although he had experienced a few obstacles off the field, he was proud because he was able to finish the match optimally.

"Talking about my performance, to be honest I played very well, from the first to the fourth day," he was quoted as saying in an official statement.

"Believe me it's not easy, I'm having sleepless nights this week, but in the end I'm very proud of myself for having a seven shot lead and winning by a difference of six,"

After being named the champion, Gagan Badmin Bhullar received a Cup and a prize of 270 thousand dollars or more than IDR 4 billion.

In addition to this achievement, Bhullar's 11th title in the 2023 Indonesian Masters tournament also set a new record at the Asian Tour. Bhullar became the first international golfer to successfully become the champion in three different tournaments in Indonesia.

Bhullar was previously recorded as having won the titles of Indonesia President Invitational (2009), Indonesia Open (2013, 2016, and 2022), and Indonesian Masters 2023.
