U-17 World Cup Results: Brazil Adds New Caledonia Wounds With A Final Score Of 9-0

Brazil U-17 rose to second place after the New U-17 Caledonia beat with a score of 9-0 (doc. FIFA World Cup U-17).

JAKARTA - Brazil U-17 managed to win a big victory against Kaledonia Baru on the second matchday of Group C of the 2023 U-17 World Cup. Selecao added to his opponent's injury by winning 9-0.

The match at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Tuesday, November 14 at 16.00 WIB became a moment of revival for Brazil, which in the previous match lost to Iran.

As for New Caledonia, this meeting with Brazil on the second matchday added to their record of a big defeat. In the inaugural match against England, they lost 0-10.

Throughout the match, Brazil immediately appeared to press and force Kaledonia Baru to play half a field throughout the match. Unfortunately, the finishing was not good enough for Selecao to have difficulty scoring the opener.

Selecao's repeated attacks only paid off in the 28th minute thanks to Rayan's header taking advantage of a corner kick from Estevoo.

Estevoo then managed to double Brazil's lead to 2-0 in the 39th minute. Estevacao cut the ball before curling a shot from the outside of the penalty box to find the New Caledonia goal.

Five minutes later, Brazil widened the advantage to 3-0 through Luighi's action. Estevao's short pass in the penalty box was successfully completed with Luighi's powerful shot.

Brazil continued to carry out attacks until the final minutes of the first half, but was unable to add goals. The score 3-0 for Brazil's advantage lasted until halftime.

The advantage of three goals in the first half did not make Brazil relax their attacks. The squad directed by Pelipe Leal continued to go crazy and added six goals.

Youa Elias scored a hat trick, while other additional goals were scored by Rayan, Vitor Reis, and Joao Victor. Brazil also confirmed victory with a score of 9-0 at the end of the match.

This result temporarily made Selecao move up to second place with three points. While the top of the standings is still controlled by England, who won 10-0 over Caledonia Baru in the inaugural match.
