Early French Gemilang U-17 World Cup, Beat Burkina Faso 3-0

JAKARTA - The U-17 French national team showed their best game when they beat Burkina Faso U-17 3-0 in the first match of Group E of the 2023 U-17 World Cup at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Sunday, November 12 afternoon WIB. In that match, France U-17 received two penalties that led them to win.

France won convincing victory. But they have to work hard to overcome Burkina Faso's resistance. Moreover, in that duel, Burkina Faso played hard. They played with enthusiasm throughout the game. Even in the first half, they created good chances several times. Unfortunately, there is no chance for them to be converted into goals.

On the other hand, France were able to finish the match well. They played very tactically and calmly despite the pressure from the opponent.

However, France was only able to break into the opponent's goal in the second half. Les Bleus' goal was produced bypat Lambourde in the 49th minute.

Left behind 1-0 did not make Burkina Faso lose its spirits. In fact, they threatened the French goal several times, although again without results. Despite the pressure, France made a profit. They scored two goals from the penalty points which were completed well by Joan Tincres (81') and Timya Gomis (87').

The 1-0 score for France lasted until the end of the first half. This is a good start for them.

"We played effectively in this match so we could score three goals. Of course we are satisfied, because this result will help us to keep competing in this tournament," said France U-17 captain Joachim Kayi Sanda.

"Furthermore, we have to prepare ourselves for the next match. As can be seen, in the first half we could only play without goals," he continued.

Sanda also admitted that he took lessons from the first match of the U-17 World Cup. According to him, it is important to play effectively wherever the national team plays and with whoever the opponent is.

"We have to play as well as possible in every match. We play with the same determination and desire. We are in the current World Cup, and we have to do everything we can," he said.
