Apriyani/Siti Fadia Ahead Of The 2023 Asian Games: More Solid And More Enjoying The Match

JAKARTA - The pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti became one of the pillars of the Indonesian badminton team to win medals at the 2023 Asian Games.

The challenge is ready to be faced by Apriyani/Siti Fadia. The PBSI women's doubles felt confident in looking at the four-year multi-event because it already had qualified capital.

Apriyani and Siti Fadia said mutual trust between the two was getting better. It was also seen in the last two events they participated in, the Badminton World Championships and the 2023 Hong Kong Open.

At the 2023 Badminton World Championships, Apriyani/Siti Fadia occupied the runner-up position. Meanwhile, at the 2023 Hong Kong Open, the 2023 SEA Games gold medalist won.

"In addition to motivation, we trust each other more, yes. So we believe more," said Apriyani, as reported by Antara.

Apriyani said learning that mutual trust is very important in a match. They got that knowledge when they faced Malaysian representatives Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan in the final round of the Hong Kong Open 2023.

"That we got another lesson there, it turns out that with the trust that we are strengthening again, it turns out that we can get through that (critical moment). Fadia really believes in me, I am the other way around. So, that's how I feel. It's getting more solid," he said.

Even though they have shown positive trends in the last few tournaments, Apri/Fadia agree that they don't want to be complacent quickly. Through several solid tournaments they have participated in before, both said they wanted to be more consistent in playing.

"We must be consistent, we must be able to continue to be aware of what we must do, both in preparation and in the match, that's all, actually," said Apriyani.

Siti Fadia continued, she and Apriyani did not want to burden themselves too much and tried to appear out and enjoy every match they would later play in Hangzhou.

"The difference maybe we are now enjoying the game more, enjoy it more and don't think too far. So we focus, just enjoy it more on the pitch," said Siti Fadia.
