JAKARTA - Ticket prices for Oleksandr Usyk's fight with Daniel Dubois in Poland have been revealed. The price is believed to make boxing fans stunned.
Usyk will defend the WBA, IBF, and WBO belts against the mandatory challenger on August 26 in WroClaw.
Those who want to watch it live can get the cheapest ticket for 11 euros or 9 pounds (around Rp. 175 thousand).
In comparison, the cheapest seat for Anthony Joshua's fight against Dillian Whyte at the O2 Arena reached 40 pounds, equivalent to Rp776,000.
Usyk was ordered to defend his title against Dubois after failing to complete battle negotiations with Tyson Fury earlier this year.
Usyk became world champion for the first time in Poland when he defeated Krzysztof Glowakki for a WBO cruiserweight title in 2016.
So he hopes it will continue to be a fun hunting ground when he returns to defend his title against Dubois.
"I'm very happy that we had the opportunity to arrange my fight in Poland, where I won my first world title seven years ago," Usyk said, as quoted by The Sun.
"I want to thank the Polish people who have helped Ukraine sincerely. Hundreds of thousands of my colleagues have been accommodated by this beautiful country."
"Therefore, I hope my struggle will be another opportunity for Ukrainians and Polishes to unite and strengthen our friendship," he continued.
