SEA Games 2023: Ganyang Malaysia, Indonesian Men's Badminton Team Wins Gold Medal

JAKARTA - The men's badminton team managed to present a gold medal for Indonesia at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia. The result was obtained after winning 3-1 over Malaysia in the men's team number.

In the final which took place at the Morodok Techno National Stadium Badminton Hall on Thursday, May 11, Indonesia's struggle opened with Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo's appearance.

Facing Malaysia's representative, Leong Jun Hao, Chico's opening effort did not bear fruit. He failed to gain advantage because he lost in two games ending 16-21 and 13-21.

Although Indonesia's first effort did not bear fruit, the next representative's appearance was satisfactory. Three other Red and White representatives managed to secure a consecutive victory.

Bagas Maulana/Shohibul Fikri who faced Beh Chun Meng/Goh Boon Zhe managed to win. This junior men's doubles won two straight games with a score of 21-12 and 22-20.

This success was also achieved by Cristian Adina and other men's doubles, namely Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Yacob Rambitan. Each won over their opponent with a satisfactory result.

Christian Adinata won two games over Lee Sung Yang with a score of 21-17 and 21-9. While Pramudya/Yeremia had a more challenging match, they had to go through the game ruber with a score of 13-21, 21-16 and 21-16.

This victory made Indonesia collect a total of 40 gold medals. Meanwhile, during the afternoon of Thursday, May 10, Indonesia received four additional gold medals which were opened by bicycle sports in the Men's Road Criteria number by Terry Yudha Kusuma, Wushu's sport in the Men's Jianshu + Qiangshu number by Muhammad Daffa Golden Boy, E-Sport sport number Valorant PC Mixed team and men's team badminton sport.
