Napoli Don't Want To Lose Victor Osimhen

JAKARTA - Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has become a "hot stuff" in the transfer market next summer. A number of European giants are already eyeing the services of the Nigerian player.

However, Napoli didn't want to just stand still. The 2022/2023 Serie A champion did not want to lose their goal machine.

Napoli President Aurelio De Rukis is reportedly in direct negotiations over a new contract with Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda. This move is an attitude of Napoli who is reluctant to release the former Lille player this summer.

Badminton previously told supporters they had no intention of selling Osimhen, as quoted by Football Italia, Tuesday, May 9.

If Napoli were forced to sell one of its star players, I Partenopei is believed to have chosen to sell South Korean defender Kim Min-jae. It is known that Kim has a release clause of 45 million euros (approximately IDR 730 billion) which is valid from July 2024.

It is known that Osimhen was brought in by Napoli in the summer of 2020 from Lille at a cost of 75 million euros or approximately IDR 1.2 trillion.

During his time with Napoli, the former Wolfsburg player has made 97 appearances and scored 56 goals and 14 assists out of a total of 6,984 minutes of playing in various competitions, reported by Antara.

Osimhen is one of the important pillars for Napoli's success this season which won the Italian League and reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

This season, Osimhen has appeared in total of 35 matches in various competitions with 28 goals and five assists from 2,720 minutes of play.

In addition, the 24-year-old is now at the top of the list of the most goalscorers in the Italian League this season with 23 goals from 29 appearances and still four matches left to play.

Thanks to his brilliant performances this season, Osimhen has often been associated with several major European clubs such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Chelsea.
