Police In Makassar Who Abandoned Wife's Child For The Sake Of Marrying Another Woman Fired

JAKARTA - As many as three members of the National Police who served in the ranks of the Makassar City Police were given severe sanctions, namely dismissal with the status of Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

"This is our firmness from the police against all members who committed violations. There are three (members) today that we have dismissed dishonorably," said Makassar Police Chief Kombes Mokh Ngajib as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 16.

The three members of the National Police who were fired, respectively, Bripka Budyanto, were dismissed for violating the ethics profession of neglecting his wife and three children and polygamous or having had a serial marriage with another woman.

Furthermore, Bripka Muhammad Irfaruddin and Bripka Abdullah Amudi served in the Makassar Polrestabes NCO for violating the rules of never having an office and leaving their duties as members of the National Police for a long time.

The process of dismissing them from the Police corps through the PTDH ceremony was held in a absentia or without the presence of the three of them at the Makassar Police Headquarters yard. The police chief while leading the ceremony crossed out with a cross section of three photos each as evidence of dismissal.

"This dismissal is related to him committing a violation, related to his family and then having an unregistered marriage. Others, there are two people who are dissertation, do not carry out their duties as stipulated in accordance with the provisions," said the Ngakb Police Chief.

The action was taken to enforce the rules on the body of the police institution.

"We take firm action, we stop them from the police service. And I convey that Makassar Police personnel have taken action of course," he said.

In addition to the PTDH ceremony, the Police Chief also gave awards to 744 Polri personnel who served from various units and the task areas of the Polsek ranks under the auspices of the Makassar Polrestabes for their achievements.

"In addition to taking firm action against those who violate, we also give the highest possible award to all members of the Makassar Polrestabes. Thank God, 744 awards were given to all ranks of members in Makassar who excel," he explained.
