Boyolali Police Arrest Perpetrator Of Nephew Bakar Uncle

JAKARTA - The Boyolali Police have arrested the perpetrators of the Posukanbakar uncle case in Karanggede District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java.

"Regarding this case, we have detained the perpetrators since December 14, 2024 for the next 20 days," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Boyolali Police, Iptu Joko Purwadi in Boyolali, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 16.

This is a follow-up to the handling of the planned persecution case on Friday (13/12) at around 18.00 WIB in Dukuh Blumbang Krajan, Bantengan Village, Karanggede District, Boyolali Regency.

"So in this case the victims are Giriyanto, 65 years old, private work, Dukuh Blumbang Krajan address, Bantengan Village, Karanggede," he said.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered up to 40 percent of the injuries to the hands, legs, chest, and around the face.

"For the perpetrators, Budiyanto, 56, private work, lives with the victim and his wife," he said.

The police secured evidence in the form of broken bottles, residual gasoline in bottles, and matches.

"So indeed, the victim and the perpetrator still have a family relationship, they live in the same house. The trigger was that day the victim had asked the perpetrator's wife about the results of the sale of the chicken and an argument occurred so that here the perpetrator as the husband who was asked by the victim felt offended. Finally, he planned to teach the victim a lesson by burning the victim's room," he said.

He said that after buying gasoline, the perpetrator poured it around the room occupied by the victim.

"Immediately burned using a gas lighter," he said.

The perpetrators were charged with Articles 187 to 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code, as well as Article 353 Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code, where the maximum penalty is 15 years.

The police said that another motive in the uncle's burning case was related to the accumulating problems.

"The accumulation of problems between the victim and the perpetrator is only one house. The perpetrator's relationship with the victim, the perpetrator's wife is the victim's nephew," he said.
