Allegations Of Apartment Investment Fraud Worth IDR 167 Billion, Former Puteri Indonesia And Italian Citizens Policed

JAKARTA - Two Swiss citizens named Luca Simioni and Timothee Frederic Walter became victims of fraud in the investment mode of The Double View Mansion (DVM) apartment.

The victim's attorney reported that the two reported initials FLC, who are Puteri Indonesia Persahabatan 2002 and her husband, with the initials VT, were Italian citizens.

"Our two clients are victims of the reported party in terms of selling DVM apartment units and ownership of residential units in the DVM Apartment," said the victim's attorney, Erdia Christina in her statement, Thursday, November 16.

The FLC reported party is the manager of the DVM apartment. In addition to the report made by 2 Swiss citizens, the FLC reported was also reported by four other foreigners.

The four victims are Emmanuel Valloto, Swiss citizen, Andrea Colussi Serravalo Italian citizen, Carlo Karol Bonati Italian citizen and Barry Pullen British citizen in June 2023. The report was made regarding the alleged embezzlement of investment funds and residential management of 15 units of DVM apartments.

Erdia explained that this report began when FLC and VT, her husband, offered a DVM apartment construction project and its facilities in 2016 to their clients.

"Our three investors or clients agreed to invest in building and managing DVM apartments by signing a Cooperation Agreement," he said.

However, the reported VT never deposited the money. In fact, because he was in Indonesia and offered the DVM project, the parties agreed to give him shares.

After the investment money was collected and the project started running, then FLC, who is VT's wife, created a company with 95 percent stakeholders.

However, in practice, they have never deposited money or funds to carry out the construction and management of the DVM Apartment.

"Not as one of the investors in the construction of the DVM apartment, but his name is only used to manage DVM apartments at the request and/or recommendations from her husband," he said.

As a result of the fraud, the two Swiss citizens suffered losses of Rp. 167 billion. The two victims reported the fraud case to the Bali Police.
