Palembang District Attorney's Office, South Sumatra, has officially upgraded the status of investigation into alleged corruption in the construction of the seven-story guest house of the Ministry of Finance Palembang in 2022 to the investigation stage.

Kasi Pidsus Palembang District Attorney Ario Aprianto Gofar said there was work on the construction of a guest house in a state university in Palembang City with a contract value of Rp. 16,520,639,149.00 for 180 days from June 25, 2022 to December 21, 2022 in Kemuning District, Palembang City.

"Furthermore, for the construction of the guest campus, there are four times the addendum," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

Based on the volume examination and physical quality of the building of the guest campus in the 2022 fiscal year, said Ario, it was found that the installed volume was less than the contract, which is located on the construction site of the structure, especially on the concrete and iron and construction of buildings that do not meet the concrete quality in accordance with the k-300 kg/cm2 and k-250 kg/cm2 contracts. is the column structure and beam structure on the 7th floor of the structure on the 6th floor and the structure on the 3rd floor.

Based on these facts and based on the results of the exposure, he continued, the team of investigating prosecutors concluded that indications of corruption have been found in the construction work of the guest campus in Palembang in the 2002 fiscal year which resulted in state financial losses.

Furthermore, the investigative team will conduct an in-depth examination in accordance with the procedural law (KUHAP) to find and collect evidence to find the party responsible and determine the suspect in this case.
