Prabowo-Gibran Pair Will Stay Campaigning From Door To Door Of Resident's House

JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo-Gibran pair, Michael Umbas said that his party will continue to campaign from door to door to residents' houses, to win the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs promoted by the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"We are sure that people's support will get bigger to Prabowo and Gibran," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 12.

This was conveyed by Umbas regarding Gibran Rakabuming's first visit outside Java, namely in Lampung Province. He claimed the residents' interest was unstoppable, in line with the movement of volunteers who welcomed him very enthusiastic to work together to win the Prabowo-Gibran pair.

Umbas, who is also the General Chair of Jokowi's Lower Flow Volunteers (ABJ), accompanied Gibran, one of whom was when he visited Natar Market, Lampung.

He emphasized that the trend of various survey institutions showing a significant increase in electability for the Prabowo-Gibran pair would not make TKN jumawa or over confidence. This is in line with Gibran's direction, when providing parties that are members of KIM.

"In order not to be lulled by the high number of survey results from the Prabowo-Gibran pair," he said.

According to him, although so far his position is getting stronger and the winning distance is getting bigger, Umbas emphasized that winning work must still be encouraged, door-to-door campaigns, program socialization, and field penetration are still carried out with high rhythms.

"Mas Gibran has also confirmed to work simultaneously, ensuring a one-round win. Of course, we will never underestimate the opponent, not demean or attack the opponent. This is a principle adopted by the Prabowo-Gibran pair," he asserted.

Umbas said that Gibran always said that if he was attacked, slandered, he would simply reply with a smile.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has received registrations for three pairs of candidates for president and vice president for the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has determined that the election campaign period will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024, while the voting is scheduled to be held on 14 February 2024.
