Indo Barometer Calls Prabowo-Gibran Electoral Rate Reaches 34.2 Percent

JAKARTA - The results of the Indo Barometer survey stated that the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo-Gibran managed to excel in the simulation of the choice of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates with an electability rate of 34.2 percent.

"Our survey this time found that when Prabowo Subianto was paired with Gibran, he was still ahead with a figure of 34.2 percent," said Indo Barometer researcher Christopher Nugroho in Jakarta, Saturday.

Christopher highlighted that Prabowo-Gibran's superiority as a candidate pair for president and vice president could be attributable to Prabowo Subianto's popularity, which reached a very high level of 98.4 percent.

According to him, this is one of the factors that causes the Prabowo-Gibran pair to excel in the simulation of the choice of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates.

He explained that the survey results showed that respondents perceived Prabowo as a brave figure, capable of leading, honest, authoritative, and firm.

Meanwhile, according to Christopher, the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Ganjar-Mahfud will occupy the second position in the simulation of the choice of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates with an electability rate of 26.2 percent.

He stated that Ganjar Pranowo dominates in terms of intelligence or intellectuality (78.4 percent), attention or closeness to the people (67.4 percent), and experience (76.6 percent).

Meanwhile, based on respondents' perceptions, Ganjar Pranowo is considered capable of effectively overcoming social problems.

For the third position, based on survey data in the simulation of the choice of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates, it is occupied by the prospective pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates Anies-Muhaimin with an electability rate of 18.3 percent.

According to respondents' perceptions, Anies Baswedan stands out with the highest level in terms of religious or Islamic compliance, reaching 70.4 percent.

The Indo Barometer survey was conducted on October 25-31, 2023, with a sample of 1,230 respondents spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia.

The sampling method used is multistage random sampling. The survey has a margin of error of 2.79 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.
