Gerindra Suspects There Are Parties Not Ready To See Gibran Accompany Prabowo Forward In The 2024 Presidential Election

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani suspects that there are parties who do not like the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka who will contest the 2024 presidential election.

This dislike, according to Muzani, is suspected because there are parties who are not ready for the advancement of President Joko Widodo's eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming, as a representation of young people to lead Indonesia in 2024.

Moreover, said Muzani, the role of youth in the 2024 presidential election will be more significant. Given, almost 60 percent of voters in the upcoming elections are young people.

"That's why many people don't like the Prabowo-Gibran pair. Many people are not ready for the 2024 election situation," said Muzani in a press statement on Friday, November 10. In front of thousands of Gerindra cadres in Tegal district, Central Java, Muzani said, at the age of Indonesia's 100 years towards 100 years, Gibran is a youth representative prepared for Indonesia Gold 2045. "It was agreed that Mas Gibran as the vice presidential candidate of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition as part of the way we welcome and prepare Indonesia Gold 2045," said Muzani.

"That the younger generation must be prepared (to become leaders) in 2024, then we must be willing to do that," he added.

Deputy Chairperson of the TKN Prabowo-Gibran also assessed that there were systematic efforts to degrade support for the Prabowo-Gibran pair. Where the effort was getting stronger. "But these days the effort was suspected, the effort was misunderstood, misunderstood. Some accused of bringing the New Order to life. Some accused that they were turning the nepotism or KKN on. Even asking the (Prabowo-Gibran) pair to resign," he said. According to him, Gibran's presence in the 2024 election contestation where more than 55 percent of the voters were young people was a threat to the opposing party.

"In fact, more than 55 percent of voters in the 2024 election are young people. When did we propose this young vice presidential candidate? " continued Muzani.

Therefore, the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI from the Gerindra faction said that the efforts of certain parties who were worried because young people would become Prabowo's vice presidential candidate, actually strengthened their determination to win Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election.

"We feel that Prabowo-Gibran's victory is in sight, so that efforts are blocked," he concluded.
