Gibran Rakabuming 'Cited', Airlangga: Everything Is Beautiful In Time

JAKARTA - Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka reportedly joined the Golkar Party after becoming a candidate for vice president (cawapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto.

Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto did not straightforwardly deny or agree to the news. He just said everything would be beautiful in time.

"It will be beautiful in time," Airlangga told reporters, Thursday, November 9.

Meanwhile, Gibran Rakabuming Raka was a PDI-P cadre when he nominated as Mayor of Surakarta.

However, at this time, Gibran is said to be no longer a PDI-P cadre. This is because the eldest son of President Joko Widodo has returned his membership card (KTA).

Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP Hasto Kristiyanto said Gibran Rakabuming Raka had asked for it.

"Yes, it has been resolved by the Surakarta City PDI-P DPC because Mas Gibran will receive KTA from the Surakarta City DPC so that he is no longer a PDI-P member because he has said goodbye," said Hasto.
