Entering TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Arief Rosyid Withdraws From BSI Commissioner

JAKARTA - Muhammad Arief Rosyid Hasan has submitted his resignation from the position of Commissioner of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), after being appointed as commander of young voters in the Prabowo Subianto National Campaign Team (TKN) and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"I have asked permission from BSI President Commissioner Muliaman Haddad and SOE Minister Erick Thohir. In the communication that was established, I conveyed this resignation as my commitment, to maintain BSI's disappointment as one of the banking institutions belonging to SOEs that the Indonesian people and Muslims rely on," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 6.

Arief Rosyid who is also the General Chair of PB HMI 2013-2015 has confirmed his appointment, as well as conveyed that he will send a letter of resignation from BSI. Arief also thanked the BSI commissioners and directors for the synergy that has been established for almost the last three years.

"I am proud to be able to contribute through a crucial institution for sharia economic development in Indonesia. The institutions appointed by the Minister of SOEs to bring the Indonesian nation to be taken into account at the global level in the field of Islamic finance. Thank you to the board of commissioners, directors, and the entire BSI extended family," he said.

Arief Rosyid is listed as Deputy Director of TKN Millennial Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 Presidential Election and is active as an activist figure, from millennials in various segments, mosques/mesantren, to Islamic economics and finance.

The voice of youth is the majority of the votes in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. The most important thing is how the younger generation is really present, not only being an object let alone a commodity. On the other hand, youth must sit together as subjects of public policy, to expand their benefits to other youth," he hoped.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the National Campaign Team (TKN) of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition Rosan Perkasa Roeslani ensured that public officials who entered the TKN management structure to win the Prabowo-Gibran pair would follow the rules, especially regarding the obligation to leave or resign from office.

"We will follow all existing regulations, if they have to leave, they take leave, such as Mas Gibran, who is on leave today, and those who are on the rules must resign, yes (they) resign," said Rosan.

The National Campaign Team for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, which was tasked with winning the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair in Jakarta, Monday, announced 274 management names.

Under the structure of the general chairman, Rosan Roeslani was assisted by the Chairman of the Strategic Coordinator Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Nusron Wahid Secretary, General Treasurer Thomas A. M. Djiwandono, and a number of commanders in charge of seven divisions, namely Commander of Alpha (Terrorial) Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tanjung.
