Police Arrest 3 Brawlers Killing Students In Bogor

The Ciawi Sector Police, Bogor Police, arrested three suspected brawlers who killed a student at SMK Bhakti Taruna with the initials MRS (18) in Banjarsari Village, Ciawi, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Ciawi Police Chief Kompol Agus Hidayat said the three alleged perpetrators were MAP (18), ALFS (15), and MZR (17) who were also students.

The three were arrested in the Sentul Rest Area, Bogor Regency, when they were about to flee to Jakarta.

"The three of them will flee to Jakarta, then try to return to Bogor. Currently, we are still continuing the investigation process regarding the possibility of other perpetrators involved in the brawl," said Kompol Agus as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 6.

His party has also previously secured four students from the Bhakti Taruna Vocational School who were involved in the brawl.

The brawl between the two groups of students took place on Saturday (4/11) night. Initially, the group of students at SMK Bhakti Taruna and the student group SMK YZA will hold a brawl on Jalan Veteran III, Ciawi. However, when SMK Bhakti Taruna students arrived at the location on a motorbike, there were no students from the opposing group.

Then, the Vocational School Student group Bhakti Taruna decided to go home. But in the middle of the trip, the YZA Vocational School student group blocked it.

"When the victim got off the motorbike, he walked closer to a YZA student who immediately attacked and injured the victim with a sharp weapon," said Commissioner Agus.

MRS, who suffered a sharp weapon cut in the stomach, was then rushed by his friends to the 24-hour Clinic not far from the location of the brawl. However, the clinic was unable to handle it so MRS was referred to the Ciawi Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

"Until finally, the victim was taken to Ciawi Hospital, and upon arrival at the hospital the victim was declared dead," he said.
