JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the renovation of the match field and training in the context of the U-17 World Cup event in November 2023.

"The renovation was carried out based on the results of FIFA visits and Presidential Instruction Number 04 of 2023 concerning Support for the Implementation of the Federation Internationale De Football Association Under 17 World Cup in 2023," said Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR Diana Kusumastuti, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

Diana said the renovation work was completed on October 26, 2023 and handed over to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and FIFA on October 27, 2023.

From the results of the FIFA visit, there are several proposals that need to be followed up, including for the Renovation of the Jakarta Cluster Training Field, namely at GOR Soemantri Brodjonegoro and Lapangan Banteng.

"Furthermore, it is necessary to renovate the Bandung Cluster Match Field and Training Field, namely at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Arcamanik Stadium and ITB Field," said Diana.

From the results of the visit, Diana said, renovations also needed to be carried out at the Surakarta Cluster Match Field and Training Field, namely at Manahan Stadium.

Then the Blulukan Field and the University of March 11 Stadium, as well as the Surabaya Cluster Match Field, namely Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium.

"The renovation work starts on September 15, 2023 and the overall progress currently reaches 100 percent," Diana said.

The PUPR Ministry previously also completed the renovation of 12 training fields in three provinces, namely West Java, Central Java, and East Java in preparation for the 2023 U-20 World Cup plan.
